Since 2021, Ruolan Jin has engaged in a collaborative partnership with the Nanjing Museum, where she meticulously crafts illustrations depicting the museum's treasured collections. These illustrations are then transformed into exquisite postcards, prominently featured at the museum's official souvenir boutique.
Ruolan's notable artworks include the "Isles of Solitude" series, which interprets the vast loneliness of humanity through the philosophical language of symbols. Just as Albert Camus laid the groundwork for absurdism in literature, artist Ruolan Jin expresses her personal existential deconstruction of absurdism in her artwork. Her creations often revolve around lines, designing a unique symbolic language and constructing a system for another world.
‘ To decipher the symbolic metaphors behind the reality;
To tell the stories beneath the silent surfaces ;
To discover the isle inside one’s soul.’
Art is One Soul’s Tale,
Yet Deeply Hidden that Words Won’t Tell.
