The inspiration of this piece

initially originated from my visit to the National Museum of Natural History in Washington.DC in 2014.

During the visit, I saw an amber fossil, with an termite trapped inside, for more than 220 million years.

The amber was silently lying there on display, with all the people around passing by.

May be to the world,  it was nothing more than a lifeless exhibit.

But for a moment,  I felt it, the solitude living deeply within it.

无意中看到一颗琥珀化石，里面有只已经被困了2200万年的虫。

它静静地躺在展台上，

周围是过往的参观者。

而它只是一个不会言语的展品罢了。
